Hero MotoCorp has showcased the new Xoom 125 and Xoom 160 Adventure concept models at EICMA 2024, which look premium as well as equipped with off-roading action. The new Hero Zoom 125R and Xoom 160 Adventure concepts are based on the models first introduced at EICMA last year. The new variants are inspired by Hero Motosports team rally bikes. It gets off-roading treatment from bodywork to accessories.
Hero Zoom 125 and Zoom 160 Adventure The new Hero Zoom 125 and Zoom 160 Adventure concepts get the same livery as the Hero Motosports Dakar bikes. This scooter runs on 14 inch wheels. Hero has also added features like corner bending lights, fog lamps and ride modes to the new Zoom 125 and Zoom 160 Adventure concepts.
New Hero Zoom 125 Concept Specifications The concept model of the new Hero Zoom 125 will come with 14-inch alloy wheels. It features all-LED lighting and sequential turn indicators. The scooter will get a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
The design is said to be inspired by the flight of a falcon. The scooter will be powered by a 125cc engine, but Hero is yet to reveal the power figure on the Zoom 125R. The model has been designed with inputs from Hero's R&D centers in India and Germany.
Hero Zoom 160 Concept Specifications The Hero Zoom 160 is an adventure-ready scooter, which comes with a telescopic front fork and twin shocks at the rear. Braking is provided with ABS on both sides. The Xoom 160 is built for a more robust look and feel, but also features all-LED lighting, smart key and ignition dial, remote key ignition, digital console with Bluetooth connectivity and advanced element features.
The new Hero Zoom Adventure concept model seems to be nearing production, but there is no information on when the brand will launch these models in the market. The Zoom 125 and Zoom 160 were supposed to arrive this year, but their launch is still some way off.
Who will fight? The Zoom 125 will take on the likes of the TVS Torque 125, Suzuki Avenis, Honda Grazia and the like, while the Xoom 160 will be the brand's new flagship scooter.
