  • Government forced to take action after violence and rebellion in Quetta

The Pakistani army and the Shahbaz government appear defeated after a growing insurgency and fresh violence in Pakistan's Balochistan. 26 people including 14 army personnel were killed in the horrific terror attack on Quetta railway station. The attack has raised serious questions about military presence and administrative control in Balochistan. Meanwhile, according to sources, the Pakistan Army is considering banning military operations in Balochistan. There is a big debate about this in the army camp. The army says that the government should find a way to communicate with the army.

Sources connected to Pakistan's Ministry of Home Affairs have also said that military operations over the years have created instability instead of peace in Balochistan. Home Ministry officials believe that the army's presence in Balochistan has only increased local discontent, while also affecting Pakistan's internal affairs. The Home Ministry also wants a permanent solution to the problem through political dialogue instead of military action. Officials say the use of force against the rebels has further complicated the situation. Peace is possible only through dialogue with Baloch leaders and rebels.

245 attacks in Balochistan this year… twice as many as last year This year, 245 terrorist attacks have been reported in Balochistan in the first 9 months. Which is more than double compared to last year. In 2023, a total of 110 terrorist incidents were reported throughout the year. This year, Baloch boys have targeted key locations such as the Pakistani military outpost, Gwadar port. Political instability in Pakistan and the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan have given these groups new military capabilities.

Questions raised… Violence in Balochistan increases, agitation in Pakistan Army After the attack on the Quetta railway station, questions have been raised in the army about the benefits of the military operation against the Baloch insurgents. There is a debate within the Pakistani army that the presence of the army has further complicated the situation, so that the confidence of the local people has continued to weaken. According to sources, the army believes that a political settlement should be adopted in Balochistan by halting military operations.

China's warning… Govt to ban military action, find solution through conciliation A source present in the government of Balochistan province told Frontpage Insights that the Chinese government is very upset with Pak over the problems in the CPEC project. To control this matter, China's Jinping government has asked Pakistan's Shahbaz government to settle the Baloch rebels as soon as possible. The Xi Jinping government says that instead of military action, a political way should be found.
