North Korea has approved a defense pact with Russia. Under this, both the countries will help each other militarily. This agreement was reached during a summit organized between the two countries in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea in June this year.
Putin signed it on November 9, according to Russian news agency TASS. The Russian Parliament has also approved it. Due to which this agreement has now become a law. After this, on November 11, North Korea also approved this agreement.
This is the biggest agreement between the two countries since the Cold War. According to this, military assistance will be provided to each other if either country is attacked. Since then, the possibility of North Korea's involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war has increased.
North Korea sent 12,000 soldiers to the war Intelligence agencies of America, South Korea and Ukraine say that North Korea has sent 12,000 troops to help Russia against Ukraine. This decision was taken only after the summit held in Pyongyang.
Ukrainian troops also engaged in small-scale skirmishes with North Korean troops in the Kursk region of Russia. Last week, Ukrainian President Zelensky also said that North Korean troops are involved in a war with Russia, which has led to clashes between Ukrainian troops.
Apart from this, after 2023, North Korea has also given 13 thousand weapons containers to Russia. Which Russia is using against Ukraine.

If North Korea joins the war against Ukraine, it will be the first time since the 1950-53 Korean War that North Korea has gone to war with another country.
According to a Time magazine report, the US and South Korea are increasingly worried about the agreement between Russia and North Korea. Both countries are concerned about what Russia will give North Korea in return for military aid.
American agencies fear that Russia could help North Korea develop nuclear weapons by providing advanced technology.
Since the start of the Ukraine war in February 2022, Russia has been seeking to strengthen ties with North Korea.
