Perth pitch challenging for Indian batsmen: Curator says – will have bounce-pace, grass too; The team has been all out here 117 times

Team India's batsmen, who are going to tour Australia, will have to face the challenge of Perth's fast and bouncy pitch in the very first match. The Test will begin on November 22 in Perth. Pitch Curator Isaac MacDonald said – 'They wanted to leave some grass to make the pitch a bit spicier (faster). The grass will be up to 10 mm. That means extra bounce and speed will be seen here.'

The Indian team has not played a Test match here for the last 12 years. A practice match was also scheduled to be held here before the Test, which has been cancelled. Team India will play a 5 test match series in Australia. The last Test will be played between January 3 and 7.

What kind of pitch will the curator make? “This is Australia, this is Perth… I'm designing pitches that have great speed, bounce,” said Macdonald, head curator of Western Australia cricket. I want the result of this match to be similar to last year's match. I want it to have a bit of a spicy (speed) pitch.'

Macdonald said- 'This (pitch) will be exactly the same as it was in the first match of the Test series against Pakistan in November last year. In that match, the Pakistani team was bundled out for 89 runs in the second innings. 8 batsmen of Pakistan could not reach double figures. Australia won that match by 360 runs. In that match, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuchen and Steve Smith were bowled.

KL can open on Perth's pitch It is difficult for Indian captain Rohit Sharma to play in the Perth Test due to personal reasons. In such a situation, KL Rahul could open in his place, although the names of Abhimanyu Iswaran and Shubman Gill are also in the running.
