Mike Waltz's entry into Trump's team: America's new NSA created, anti-China-Iranian and pro-Indian; Trump replaced 4 NSAs last time

After winning the US presidential election, Donald Trump has decided to appoint Florida MP Mike Waltz as the country's national security adviser. According to the New York Times, two sources familiar with the decision gave this information.

Mike Waltz is considered anti-China-Iran and pro-India. He has supported several bills related to reducing America's dependence on China.

Waltz has been a 'Green Beret Commando' in the US Army's Special United Forces and has also fought against the Taliban in Afghanistan. He strongly opposed the Biden administration's withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. He has also served in the Middle-East and Africa.

Donald Trump replaced four NSAs in his first term. The first adviser, General McMaster, was in office for only 22 days.

What is the India Caucus, with which Waltz is associated?

The India Caucus is a group of American lawmakers working to strengthen ties between India and the US. It was created in 2004 by New York Senator Hillary Clinton (Democrat) and Secretary of State John Cornyn (Republican).

The India Caucus has become a major platform in the US Parliament to discuss India issues and promote the rights of the Indian-American community. The India Caucus currently has 40 members.

The India Caucus consists of leaders from both the Democrats and Republicans. Its members regularly meet with Indian leaders and advise the US government on matters related to India.

Waltz is the co-chair of the India Caucus and is in favor of maintaining strong ties with India. In the year 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a joint session of the US Congress. Waltz played a major role in his speech arrangements. He appealed to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to invite Modi.

In 2023, Modi gave a speech in the US Parliament. It was Mike Waltz who proposed to him.

Waltz is the second Republican to hold a position in the Trump administration. Earlier, Trump chose New York MP Elise Stefanik as the next US ambassador to the United Nations.

Stefanik has been a loyal supporter of Trump. He studied at Harvard and also worked in the administration of former President George W. Bush.

Trump has made his old aide Stephen Miller the deputy head of policy affairs in his new administration. He was an adviser to Trump during his first term. He is known for taking a hard line on illegal immigrants.
