The winners did nothing for Punjab Sidhu claimed that BJP people do not want to break ties with the Badal family. I had differences with the BJP on many issues. So, I chose Punjab. Arun Jaitley sir was my elder brother. When Jaitley Sahib came to Punjab, he advised me to contest from Kurukshetra. He also said that you will win the election by 2 lakh votes. I tried to explain to him, people have a lot of anger against him (against Badal).
I made Amritsar with my hard work. I was not listened to. One thing my mother told me is that a person who does not keep his word is doomed. I stand by my words even today. I fought with my government for Punjab.
