Transition: America has even made a slave owner president!

Lalit Khambhayata

If MP wins, the proverb from prison to palace will come true. Many cases are going on against him. Cases have slowed down in the election process. If he wins, then the case will remain at the place of the case. If he loses, jail time awaits. It is surprising that Trump, who had to stand as a defendant in court, could even stand in the election. Consider the influence of the American people or the strength-weakness of democracy. To count, there have been such presidents in America in the past. In the name of someone there is prowess, in the name of someone in action! On March 4, 1841, William Henry Harrison was sworn in as president. A long speech rebuked by getting excited. Long means 105 minutes. In the bitter cold of Washington, Harrison wore neither a hat nor an overcoat. He then developed pneumonia and died exactly one month later. He was the first president of the United States to die while in office. He also holds the record of being president for the shortest time (32 days). Á The Sultan of Oman came to meet the eighth president, Martin van Berner, who came to power in 1837. They also brought gifts. Apart from spear-sword, two tiger cubs were also in the gift. There is a saying in Sorath that without the donation of a lion, neither the president of Oman nor America would know. So the tiger was donated, but the president took it. Also, Russia had already made a gift to America. Á Russian President Nikita Khushchev gifted a doggy named Pushinka to American First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. The dog was also the daughter of a Russian dog named Strelka. Strelka was sent into space by Russia (as was Laika). Russia cut off America's nose by sending an organism into space before America. By this gift Khushchov once again cut his nose! When Millard Filmore was president, someone offered to give him an honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law. Millard refused saying that I don't want a degree in a subject I don't understand! Á The much-discussed President Abraham Lincoln was also a patentee. He invented a buoy that could lift the entire boat and push it forward. He got the idea after his own boat got stranded. However, the patent number 6469 was never put to practical use. Lincoln holds the second record, the longest serving president. Height was 6 feet, 4 inches. James Madison, on the other hand, was the shortest, at 5 feet, four inches. Á From 1893 to 1897, if someone called the White House, one could hear President Grover Cleveland's voice directly from the front, as he preferred to answer the phone himself. The entry of the telephone into the White House took place in 1879 when Rutherford was president. In 1880, the first typewriter came there. Electricity first came to the White House in 1889 when Benjamin Harrison became president. Benjamin was also saddened by not being able to use it. Then they got scared that the employees were also doing the work of starting the dim light at the time of sleeping. President Herbert Hoover, whose name bears the famous Hoover Close, did not take a salary. All the money was donated. On the other hand, he was fond of sports. So his physician invented a new sport by mixing the three together: tennis, volleyball and an exercise ball. Named the Hooverball. Á Ronald Reagan went from a movie hero to a national hero. Worked in 53 films before becoming president. Before that, Reagan was a sports anchor on radio. There were also lifeguards on the beach, who saved 77 people from drowning. A TV show started in 2004 on America's 'NBC' channel, called 'The Apprentice'. The host of the show was Donald Trump. Before becoming president, Trump was and still is an American businessman. Á Today, America, which seems to be clean, has a black cloud of slavery on its head. At one time slavery was legal there. Slavery was abolished in 1865. Before that, there were 13 US presidents who owned slaves. Some had become president while some had slaves even during their presidency. Today, slaves may seem a matter of shame, but then those who had more slaves were considered more wealthy. Thomas Jefferson owned 600 slaves, not five-and-a-half. Andrew Jackson had 200, George Washington had 100, James Madison had 100. The US government has accepted and noted this on the official website of the White House. Á John Quincy Adams, the sixth president born in 1825, was a staunch opponent of slavery. He did what he could while he was in power. He also argued for it repeatedly in the US Congress. Also called for all Americans born after US Independence Day (July 4th) of 1842 to be considered free (no slaves). Continued his advocacy after stepping down from the presidency. Also fought a case in the Supreme Court to free African slaves in 1841. Á Jimmy Carter is alive as this is written. Born in 1924, Carter celebrated his 100th birthday on October 1. Shatayu Thanara is the first US president. Before becoming president, he was farming, that too peanuts! The 17th US President used to work as a tailor. The English saying 'clothes make the man' proves true in his case. Harry Truman ran a cutlery shop. Á In what we call a duel, only two people have to fight. In movies, we must have seen that when the hero-villain fights, they say to the Khajuria-hajuria spread around them that Yeh अभुज़ हम दोनो की hai, koi beach mein nahi ayega. In English such a fight is known as a duel. Andrew Jackson, the seventh president, was a fan and connoisseur of duels. There are also other types of fighting, be it sword fighting or shooting. On July 30, 1806, a battle took place in which Charles Dickinson (not the author) was killed, as Jackson missed the mark. The first shot fired by Charles hit Jackson in the chest but did not kill him, leaving him in lifelong pain. The laws for this type of death were not clear at the time, so ultimately nothing happened to Jackson. Not only that, he reached the position of being able to make laws himself. When Trump first came to power, he promised to deport immigrants. He might have done it because it was his political interest. The fact is that all US presidents are foreigners. After Columbus set foot on the shores of America in 1492, the country called America became known to Europeans. Bored people in Europe boarded a ship and reached America. Expanded there. Their children are today's white Americans. Native Americans are Red Indians. Their population is small. None of them has become president till date. A quarter of them have lived on American soil for five hundred years, so they are all called Americans, but when it comes to foreigners, it must be remembered that America is a country made entirely of foreigners. Kennedy's ancestors were from Ireland while Obama's ends touch Africa-India. Á Kamala Harris will set several records at once if declared the winner. She will become the first US President of Indian origin, but most importantly, she will become the first woman President in the 250-year history of American democracy. If Trump wins, he will make history as the second female candidate to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016. }
