Ukraine attacks Russian capital with 34 drones: No major damage reported in Moscow, one person injured; Many flights were diverted

In 2022, Ukraine launched its biggest attack on the Russian capital, Moscow, since the start of the war. Ukraine has targeted Moscow with 34 drones. Several flights had to be diverted from Moscow's three major airports due to the attack.

According to a report by news agency Reuters, there was no loss of life or property in the attack, although one person was injured.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia has also released a statement regarding this attack. The ministry said it had shot down 34 Ukrainian drones and foiled the attack. Russia has called the attack in Ukraine a terrorist attack and has spoken of retaliating.

Ukraine also attacked a chemical plant in Russia Ukraine claimed on Saturday that it had targeted a chemical plant in the western Russian city of Tula late on Friday. Ukraine's special operations force SBU said it used 13 drones in the attack. After the attack, there was an explosion in the chemical plant and a cloud of smoke spread.

According to the SBU, the plant produces ammunition for the Russian Army. Orange colored smoke was seen billowing from the plant after the attack. According to CNN, a source said the attack also damaged the Aleksinskaya thermal power plant. A 110 KV power transmission line was also damaged in the attack.

The chemical plant is located 200 km south of the capital Moscow.

After the attack, plumes of smoke were seen coming out of the plant.
