EDITOR'S VIEW: UP model to avoid 'bad touch': Men tailors can't take women's measurements and male trainers can't give training even in gyms, who is proposing this?

Lo Bolo, Uttar Pradesh Mahila Aayog says that women should be there to take measurements in tailor shops for tailoring women's clothes. The UP Women's Commission has sent a proposal to the state government that, so that women do not suffer from 'bad touch', only ladies tailors should take measurements of ladies, only lady trainers should give training in gyms and only ladies should cut ladies' hair in salons. Hello, Babita Chauhan, chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Women's Commission prepared a proposal. This proposal was presented in a meeting of the members of the Women's Commission and all the women welcomed it. The Women's Commission has now ordered the Collectors and SPs of all districts to implement this. Now this proposal has reached the Yogi government and the commission has requested to make such a law. If the Yogi government enacts such a law, it is possible that in the future such a law may be introduced in all the BJP-ruled states as well. What happened in the Women's Commission meeting? A meeting of the Uttar Pradesh Women's Commission was held on October 28. Its president Babita Chauhan put an idea that, times are bad. Most men's eyesight and teeth deteriorate. Women become victims of bad touch if they have to take measurements of tailors. Women who go for gym training also experience bed touch. Women's safety is paramount and necessary. So all the areas where women and men come in direct contact should have women employees. So that women can fill safely. All the members of the Women's Commission agreed on this and prepared a proposal. Gradually, issues were added to this proposal, amendments were made and now the final proposal has been prepared and sent to the Yogi government. The proposal prepared by the Uttar Pradesh Mahila Aayog is being discussed across the country and all the women, whether from UP or other states, have hailed the proposal as appropriate. What did Babita Chauhan, chairperson of Women's Commission, say? Babita Chauhan, chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Mahila Aayog, said that gyms where women go should have female trainers. All gym trainers should undergo police verification. If a woman wants to take training from a male trainer, she has to give it in writing. This decision has been taken as the Women's Commission has been receiving constant complaints of abuse of women and girls going to the gym. Also, in a tailor shop where women's clothes are stitched, it is necessary to have a female tailor to take women's measurements. Not only this, school buses in which girls travel must be accompanied by female personnel. One benefit of this will be women's safety and another benefit will be that women will get employment. Under this decision, the male employees will not be removed, but the female employees will also be retained. Babita Chauhan said in a media interview that the Women's Commission has given orders to all the districts in this regard and legal action will be taken against those who do not agree. Who is Babita Chauhan, who prepared this proposal? Dr. Babita Singh Chauhan is a resident of Agra and has been appointed as the Chairperson of the State Women's Commission by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. He is associated with a social organization and is also active in politics. He has a long experience of active politics. Babita Singh Chauhan's house is in Professor Colony in Hariparvat area. Her husband Jitendra Chauhan is the International Director of Lions Club International. Jitendra Chauhan and Babita Chauhan have received many awards for social service. Babita has fulfilled every responsibility of BJP. He did excellent work as the state president of BJP Mahila Morcha. When it came to chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Mahila Aayog, the names of Aparna Yadav and Babita Chauhan, daughter-in-law of Mulayam Singh Yadav family, were in discussion but finally the party high command saw Babita's work and made her the chairperson of Mahila Aayog. She has been working on women's rights and social issues for many years. Since becoming the Chairman of the Commission, he has initiated concerted efforts at various levels to prevent crimes against women. Dr. Babita Singh Chauhan believes that women have equal right to work in every field. They should not face inconvenience in a place like a gym just because of the presence of men. He said the move was necessary to promote women's empowerment and security. 5 important points of Babita Chauhan's 7 points of Mahila Aayog's order… Mahila Aayog Chairperson Babita Chauhan said, when we hear the complaints of women, most of the incidents related to men are coming up in gyms, beauty parlors and boutiques. 99% of trainers in gyms are men. Many incidents of bad touch happen in the gym. Women or little girls suffer. Can't tell after coming home. Recently, a similar incident took place in Kanpur, in which a gym trainer killed a woman. Such cases are also coming up in which the matter has even reached the point of divorce. So gyms should have female trainers for women. It will also provide employment to women. In boutiques, male tailors in tailors shops touch women badly while measuring clothes. Women Commission is receiving many such complaints. To prevent such incidents, boutiques should have only women to measure women. It will also make women feel safe. Now it has become a fashion that only men do makeup for women in beauty parlors. Why can't girls do women's makeup? There are more women customers in this field. Women's commission has received many such complaints when men go to the beauty parlor to get ready and women are dressed in sarees by men on any pretext. Where there is a ladies salon or parlour, the employees must be women. Mostly ladies salons are staffed by gents. No one knows which boy works in which salon. Often women are victims of bad touch even in salons. This requires police verification of the boys if they are working in the parlour. So that sometimes if any incident happens, it will be easy to catch. Legal action will be taken if salon or parlor operators do not get police verification of their employees. Apart from this, cameras should be installed in coaching centers. There should be separate washrooms for girls. All educational institutions in all districts in Uttar Pradesh should be verified. School buses are also required to have a woman security guard or a woman teacher. Female dance teachers should be appointed in performing arts centres. Apart from this, CCTV should be arranged there. It is necessary to keep women's safety as a priority in every sector. Finally, on the one hand the Mahila Aayog is concerned about the safety of women, on the other hand the Congress Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhwinder Singh went to an event in person. They were supposed to serve samosas but three boxes of samosas went missing. CID is investigating who took it and where it went. BJP has taken up this issue. Samosas may have gone cold in the cold of Himachal, but politics has heated up there. Tune in from Monday to Friday at 8 pm Editor's View… (Research : Yashpal Bakshi)
