'No wheels, no brakes in Mahavikas Aghadi': Modi said – the fight is going on to sit in the driving seat, different horns are heard from all around

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday started campaigning for the Maharashtra assembly elections. In a 50-minute speech in Dhule, Modi spoke on the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Congress separatism, development of Maharashtra, tribals and women.

The Prime Minister said that if we stay united, we will be safe. Earlier they fought in the name of religion. Due to which the country was divided. Now they are working to fight the castes. This is a conspiracy against India.

Modi also said that Maha Aghadi's vehicle has neither wheels nor brakes and it is difficult to sit on the driver's seat. Different horns are heard from all around.

Elections for 288 seats in Maharashtra will be held in a single phase on November 20. The result will be out on 23rd November. BJP is contesting elections with Mahayuti alliance. BJP has fielded 148 candidates, Shinde group 80 and Ajit group 53 candidates.

Highlights of Modi's speech

1. The people of Maharashtra gave generously: You all know my connection with Maharashtra. Whenever I have asked for anything from Maharashtra, the people here have blessed me wholeheartedly. I came here during the 2014 assembly elections. I requested you for BJP government in Maharashtra. You broke the 15-year long political cycle in the state and brought victory to the BJP. Today I am starting the election campaign in Maharashtra from the land of Dhule.

2. MVA looted the government first, then the public We treat the people as God and serve them. Some people have come to rob people. When people come with the intention of looting, they put a stop to every plan. You have seen two and a half years of the fraudulent government formed by Mahavikas Aghadi. They first looted the government and then looted the people.

3. We made decisions with women at the center Mahayutti's manifesto will be the basis of a developed India. Making life easier for our sisters and daughters is very important for a developed Maharashtra and a developed India. When women advance, society as a whole advances faster. So the central government has also taken many big decisions keeping women at the center.

4. MV started abusing women Every woman in Maharashtra must beware of Aghadi people. They cannot see women's power as strong. How they abuse women, what kind of foul language they are using. Recruitment of 25,000 daughters in Maharashtra Police will increase enthusiasm among women. They will get security.

5. Maharashtra first choice of investors We gave the status of elite language to Marathi language. This was the demand of the people of Maharashtra for decades. Maharashtra is the first choice of foreign investors. In the first 3 months of this year, more than 50% of the investment has come to Maharashtra. The country's largest airport is also being built here.

6. Congress cannot see dalits and backward people moving forward Congress is playing a game of fighting one caste against another. Congress can never see dalits and backward tribes moving forward. Ambedkar tried to give reservation to the underprivileged but Nehruji remained steadfast. Baba Saheb could hardly get reservation for Dalits and tribals. After Nehru came Indiraji. He maintained a similar atmosphere against the Reserves as well. She always wanted to weaken SC, ST, OBC. Even Rajiv Gandhi's thinking was not different from that of his family.

BJP is fighting on fewer seats than in 2019 BJP is contesting on fewer seats this time as compared to 2019 assembly elections. Last time BJP fielded its candidates on 164 seats. This time 16 less candidates have entered the fray.

At the same time Shiv Sena-Shinde got 80 seats, NCP-Ajith got 53 seats. This is the first assembly election after the coup in the party. In the last elections Shiv Sena (undivided) and NCP (undivided) contested on 124 seats each. Apart from all this, this time Mahayutti has left 5 seats for allied parties.

BJP said – the decision about CM will be taken after the election On being seen as Chief Minister, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis had said about a week ago that if people are seeing him as Chief Minister then it is not a problem, it is a solution. But this does not mean that he is going to become CM.

As Eknath Shinde is the current Chief Minister, the Mahayutti does not need to announce the face of the Chief Ministership. Who will be the chief minister will be announced after the election. Shiv Sena chief CM Eknath Shinde, NCP chief Ajit Pawar and BJP's parliamentary board will decide who will be the chief minister of Maharashtra.

Mahayuti is not confused, the problem is Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The question of face is for them, not for Mahayuti. MVA is not announcing the Chief Minister's face because they know that their Chief Minister may come after the elections.

A look at Maharashtra's political equation…

In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP fell from 23 to 9 seats Out of the 48 seats in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 30 seats and the NDA 17 seats. In which BJP got 9 seats, Shiv Sena got 7 seats and NCP got only 1 seat. BJP has lost 23 seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, NDA won 41 seats compared to 42 seats in 2014.

Estimated loss of BJP according to Lok Sabha elections If the Maharashtra Assembly elections follow the same trend as the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will suffer. BJP will lose around 60 seats. At the same time, an opposition coalition survey projected MVA to get 160 seats. Maratha movement is the biggest challenge for BJP. Apart from this, people sympathize with Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar after the sabotage in Shiv Sena and NCP.

Assembly Elections- 2019

  • In 2019, there was a BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. BJP won 105 and Shiv Sena 56 seats. NCP got 54 seats and Congress got 44 seats from the alliance. BJP-Shiv Sena could have easily come to power, but the alliance broke up due to differences.
  • On 23 November 2019, Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as the Deputy Chief Minister. However, both resigned on November 26 before the majority test.
  • On 28 November, Shiv Sena (undivided), NCP (undivided) and Congress' Mahavikas Aghadi came to power.
  • After this, there was a split between the Shiv Sena (undivided) and the NCP (undivided) and these two parties split into four factions. However, Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray gained in the Lok Sabha elections. Now the Assembly elections are also being held on this background.
