Huma Qureshi recently revealed that she turned down offers for one or two films because the other actor in the film had less experience and was not getting the right amount of money. Huma also said that being more popular on social media does not determine whether a film or a show will become a hit.
While talking to India Today, Huma Qureshi was asked what she thinks about saying no to new projects in the industry. He said that honesty is most important to him. Due to this, he recently rejected one or two lead films.
Huma Qureshi said, 'I won't name names, but I got a film offer. This was a film about two girls. I rejected her because another actress was very popular, but she didn't have streaming experience like me. I was ready to act in the film, but not until my character was given equal importance to the other actors in the film.
Huma said, 'I feel I am not at this point in my career where I need to make any compromises. The team assured me that it is a film with two leads. Then I said that as a senior actress I should get top billing and more money. But when no consensus could be reached on this, I abandoned the project.
Huma said, 'I think having more followers on social media doesn't determine whether people will watch your show or film.'
On the work front, Huma Qureshi was recently seen in the second season of the web series 'Mithya'. Her upcoming films include 'Gulabi' and 'Bayan'. Apart from this, according to Pinkvilla, Huma will soon be seen in 'Jolly LLB 3'.
