Canada refuses to provide security to Indian consulate: Indian High Commission cancels camps to facilitate Indian pensioners

The Indian High Commission in Canada has decided to close some consulate camps due to lack of security. The Consulate General of India based in Toronto gave this information by posting on X.

The post said that Canadian security agencies have refused to provide security to the consulate camp, so we have decided to close the camp.

In fact, on September 27, the Consulate General of India announced to organize 14 camps in various cities across Canada for pension certificates. The camps were to be held between November 2 and November 23 in Winnipeg, Brampton, Halifax and Oakville.

But now some of these camps will not be organized due to lack of security.

What is a Consulate Camp? In Canada, all people receiving pension from the Government of India have to submit a life certificate. For this camp is organized by the Indian High Commission every year in November. To help people from cities far away from the High Commission, camps are organized at religious places like Gurudwaras and temples.

For the certificate, one has to give one's name to the embassy one week before the start of the camp. The same camp was organized on November 3 at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton. This temple is the largest temple in Brampton and surrounding areas. Similar camps were also set up in Surrey and Calgary.

Khalistanis attacked a camp in a temple, police confirmed On November 3, a Khalistan mob attacked the consulate camp in the temple premises. Ontario's Peel police failed to protect Khalistan from attackers. A police officer was also included in the attacking mob along with Khalistan supporters. His name is said to be Harinder Sohi. Sohi Peel is a sergeant in the police. He has been suspended.

Such videos have also surfaced in which the policemen are acting harshly with people belonging to the Hindu party. Naresh Kumar Chavda, trustee of Sanatan Mandir Board of Directors in Canada, says that the Canadian government, state government and municipal corporation, authorities at every level are responsible for this incident.

Naresh says that tension between Hindus and Sikhs has been increasing for the last four years. Attacks on Hindu temples are on the rise. In such circumstances the exhibition should not have been allowed.

The day after the incident, the Brampton Municipal Corporation banned demonstrations near places of worship. They could have done this earlier. Looking at all this, it seems that Hinduphobia prevails in Canada. Hindus are being used for political gain.

Such videos have surfaced on social media in which Canadian police are arresting people protesting the attack on the temple.

A complete timeline of tensions between India and CanadaCanadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused Indian diplomats of being involved in the killing of Khalistan terrorist Nijjar. After this, India also ordered the Canadian diplomats to leave India and also recalled its own diplomats. India and Canada have been at loggerheads ever since.
