Sensex tumbles over 900 points: Sectors including banking and auto sell off, Nifty also falls 290 points

Today i.e. 7th November, Sensex is trading with a fall of more than 900 points and Nifty is also trading with a fall of 290 points.

Out of 30 stocks in Sensex, 29 are falling and 1 is rising. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 47 are falling and 3 are rising. All sectors of NSE, including banking and autos, are trading in decline.

Mixed business for Asian markets

  • In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei is down 0.40%. While Korea's Kospi is trading up 0.18% and China's Shanghai Composite is trading up 0.79%. America's Dow Jones closed up 3.57% at 43,729 in November and the S&P 500 rose 2.53% at 5,929. The Nasdaq rose 2.95% to 18,983. According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹4,445.59 crore on November 6. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹4,889.33 crore.

Niva Bupa Health Insurance IPO opens The IPO of private health insurer Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Limited has commenced today (November 7). Investors can bid for the issue till November 11. The company's shares will be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 14.

Another day of bidding for Swiggy and ACME Solar Holdings Today is the second day of bidding for the IPOs of Swiggy Limited and ACME Solar Holdings Limited. Swiggy Total was subscribed 0.12 times on the first day. The issue was subscribed 0.56 times in the retail category and 0.06 times in the non-institutional investors (NII) category.

Whereas, ACME Solar Holdings' IPO was subscribed 0.42 times on the Swiggy total on the first day. The issue was subscribed 1.28 times in retail category, 0.16 times by qualified institutional buyers (QIB) and 0.34 times in non-institutional investors (NII) category.

Yesterday the market saw a boom Earlier yesterday i.e. November 6, the Sensex closed at 80,378 with an increase of 901 points (1.13%). The Nifty also closed up 270 points (1.12%) at 24,484. At the same time, BSE Smallcap closed at 56,008, up 1,077 points (1.96%).

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 25 were up and 5 were down. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 41 were up and 9 were down. All sectoral indices of NSE rose. The IT sector had the highest growth of 4.05%.
