Popular folk singer Sharda Sinha, who lent her voice to the song 'Kahe Tose Sajna' from Salman Khan's film 'Maine Pyar Kiya' and the song 'Taar Bijli Se Patale' from Gangs of Wasseypur, has passed away. The singer, honored with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, was admitted to the hospital since October 25. His condition was critical. Her son went live on social media on Tuesday morning and appealed for prayers for his mother.

Keep praying. Ma has gone to a big fight. This time is very difficult. Just pray they come out fighting. I just met them. Doctors have said that his health has suddenly deteriorated and now everyone is trying to save him.
Anshuman continued, 'I am coming live at this time and giving information, so that no one puts wrong information. We all pray that the mother somehow survives. They are also in a lot of pain. Request you all to include them in your worship. He has given so much time to his country and state, so it is imperative that we all pray for him to get some more time. Shardaji is currently on ventilator.
According to reports, Sharda Sinha was admitted to Delhi's AIIMS on October 25. Since then his condition was critical.
Sharda Devi lent her voice to the song 'Keh Tose Sajna' from the 1989 Bollywood film Mainne Pyaar Kiya and the famous song 'Taar Bijli Se Patle' from Gangs of Wasseypur. He was awarded Padma Shri in 1991 and Padma Bhushan in 2018.
