Abolish 370….Abolish 370…: PDP proposes on first day of Jammu-Kashmir assembly, sparks uproar among outraged MPs

The first assembly session of Jammu and Kashmir has started from Monday after the first assembly elections held after 10 years. On the very first day of the session, there was a ruckus in the assembly between BJP-PDP and National Conference MLAs.

PDP MLA Rahman Para moved a motion against the removal of Article 370 from the state, against which BJP MLAs raised slogans. Meanwhile, an MLA also reached the well of the house.

During the uproar, CM Omar said- We knew that this proposal was being prepared. The reality is that the people of Jammu and Kashmir do not accept the decision taken on 5 August 2019. If people had accepted this decision, the results would have been different today.

No single member will decide how the House will debate Article 370. The proposal brought today is of no importance, it is only for cameras. If there was any motive behind this then the PDP MLAs would have discussed with us first.

7 times MLA rather elected as speaker

Protem Speaker Mubarak Gul invited Speaker Rather to sit on the Speaker's Chair. CM Omar congratulated Rather.

First, senior National Conference MLA Abdul Rahim Rather has been selected for the post of Speaker. Protem Speaker Mubarak Gul moved Rather's name, which was also passed.

Rather has become MLA for the seventh time and is the oldest MLA in the Union Territory's first assembly. On Sunday, CM Omar Abdullah convened a meeting of the legislative body, in which it was decided to make Rather as Speaker. Congress, CPI (M), Aam Aadmi Party and independent MLAs attended the meeting.

BJP may get the post of Deputy Speaker Abdullah government may give deputy speaker post to BJP. However, till now the government has not given any information regarding this to the BJP. A decision regarding this may also be taken in today's meeting. Sunil Sharma was elected as the leader of the legislative party in a meeting of BJP MLAs on Sunday. He will be the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly. While Sat Sharma has been made the state BJP president.

Omar Abdullah has become the CM of Jammu and Kashmir for the second time. His father Farooq Abdullah and grandfather Sheikh Abdullah have also been the CM of Jammu and Kashmir. This picture is from the MLA meeting held on Sunday evening.

There is a possibility of uproar in the session over terrorist attacks After Omar Abdullah took oath as CM, there have been 6 terror attacks in the state. Six militants, including an army commander, have been killed. 3 jawans were also martyred. Apart from this, 8 non-Kashmiri laborers have also died. After the formation of the new government in the state, terrorists have carried out several attacks targeting non-Kashmiri.

Omar Abdullah's father Farooq Abdullah's statement on terrorists is also likely to cause ruckus in the session. In fact, Farooq said that security forces should not kill terrorists, but arrest them. BJP targeted Farooq in this regard.

Elections will also be held soon on 4 Rajya Sabha seats Elections to 4 Rajya Sabha seats of Jammu and Kashmir are also to be held soon. Discussions for this have already intensified. According to the seats won in the elections, two Rajya Sabha seats may go to the NC-Congress alliance and one to the BJP. NC president Farooq Abdullah may be sent to Rajya Sabha. Due to ill health, he refused to contest the assembly elections.

An election can be held on the remaining one seat. Who will get this seat in the election will be decided only from the political equations of that time. Similar was the situation in 2015. The then ruling PDP-BJP got one seat each. The NC then supported the Congress candidate (now leader of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party) Ghulam Nabi Azad. The fourth seat came to the account of the PDP-BJP alliance after the election.
