Shaina filed a complaint against Arvind Sawant at the Nagpada police station in Mumbai.
Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant has made vulgar comments on Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader and party candidate from Mumbai, Shaina NC. Sawant called Shaina 'imported goods'.
On Friday, Sawant was asked about Shaina contesting the NC elections, to which he replied – imported goods do not work in elections here. Original goods run. In response, Shaina posted on X and said- I am a woman, not a commodity. After this, Shaina has filed a complaint at the Nagpada police station in Mumbai.
Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena has announced Shaina NC candidate from Mumbaidevi seat. He will face Congress candidate and sitting MLA Amin Patel. Shaina NC is a fashion designer by profession. He is a famous celebrity in the glamor world of Mumbai. After the Shiv Sena ticket was announced, Shaina left the BJP. He was also the spokesperson of BJP.
Women activists of Shiv Sena's Shinde group staged a protest in Mumbai. Arvind Sawant also demanded an apology.
BJP said- Sawant's statement is painful On Sawant's controversial statement, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said – I am saddened to see and hear Sawant's statement. This kind of comment is very painful for a political woman. This is reprehensible. We condemn this.
Sawant said – Amin Patel, who fought against Shaina, has won the election three times
- Arvind Sawant said on the rift over seat sharing in Mahavikas Aghadi and later on reaching a consensus, it is a big thing that such big parties have come together. Small disputes persist. You guys make a big deal out of it. From Gandhi to Shivaji, nominations have come.
- Mahavikas Aghadi candidate Amin Patel has been elected thrice on his own against Shaina NC. If talking about the constitution is a fake story then what the BJP is doing today is playing with the constitution and it has not stopped yet.
- BJP is building a wall between Hindus and Muslims. Tell me if you have done any work. Nothing has been done, so they want to set a new description. We belong to the poor.
- Milind Deora Par Sawant, who is contesting from Worli seat, said- I am sorry for his candidature. His father was a lifelong Congressman. They are changing their party and attitude every day. He is contesting elections despite being a Rajya Sabha MP. Where were you during covid? This should be asked first. Then you will know whether you belong to the masses or not.
Jharkhand minister called BJP leader Sita Soren as rejected goods Before Arvind Sawant, Irfan Ansari, a minister in the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand and a Congress leader, also made a similar controversial statement. After filing the nomination on October 26, he called BJP leader Sita Soren a rejected commodity. Sita Soren is the sister-in-law of CM Hemant Soren.
On this Sita Soren said that Ansari has used foul language, for which he has to apologise. Earlier also he has said personal things about me, but this time he crossed all limits. Irfan Ansari Apologize or be prepared for fierce protests.
