Even after the deadline for nominations for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) have not announced the seat sharing formula. However, BJP is the largest party with 148 candidates in Mahayuti and Congress is the largest party with 102 candidates in MVA.
Both the parties are contesting on fewer seats than the 2019 assembly elections. Last time BJP fielded its candidates on 164 seats while Congress fielded its candidates on 147 seats.
While Shiv Sena-Shinde has declared its candidates on 83 seats, NCP-Ajith on 51 seats, Shiv Sena-Uddhav on 88 seats, NCP-Sharad on 87 seats. In the last election Shiv Sena (undivided) and NCP (undivided) contested on 124 seats.
Apart from all this, this time BJP has left 4 seats and Shiv Sena-Shinde 2 seats for allies in Mahayutti. On the other hand, small allies of MVA are contesting on 9 seats.
6 parties in the fray, rebels in almost every seat This time six major parties are in fray due to rebellion in Shiv Sena and NCP. Rebels are more for this reason. There are rebels in almost every seat in the state. All eyes are now on November 4, the last date for withdrawal of nominations. Only then will we know how the fight will be.

Mankhurd-Shivajinagar- Nawab Malik
Nawab is MLA from Anushakti Nagar seat. Ajit group's NCP has given ticket to Malik's daughter Sana Malik on that seat.
The case on this seat is very interesting. Minutes before the deadline for filing nominations, the Ajit group's NCP announced Nawab Malik as its candidate. Malik was already claiming the ticket, but the BJP was opposing.
The BJP accused Malik of being close to Dawood Ibrahim and accused him of sedition. For this reason, Malik could not be found. However, on October 29, Nawab Malik filed two papers.
After filling the form, he said that I have registered as an NCP candidate. He also filed his candidature as an independent candidate. But the party sent the AB form and we submitted the AB form at 2.55 pm. Now I am the official candidate of NCP.
BJP is still opposing Nawab Malik's candidature. Under the agreement, the seat was given to the Shinde group. The party has given ticket to Suresh Patil from here. The BJP has also supported Patil and has been making constant statements against Malik.
BJP and Ajith's NCP face each other on Katol seat Before the split in NCP, former home minister Anil Deshmukh became MLA from this seat. However, Deshmukh supported Sharad Pawar when the party split. Due to this BJP was claiming this seat. At the same time, Ajith still considered it a seat won by the NCP. As a result, both of them nominated. BJP has given ticket to Charan Singh Thakur while NCP has given ticket to Naresh Arsade.
A little more confusion in MVA
Pandharpur Sharad Pawar's NCP has given ticket to Anil Sawant. While Congress has fielded Bhagirath Bhalke. Bhagirath is the son of late Congress MLA Bharat Bhalke. After Bharat Bhalke's death, Bhagirath contested a by-election from the NCP, but lost. When he did not get a ticket this time, he joined the Congress and the party gave him a ticket against his fellow Sharad faction, the NCP.
Paranda Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena has given ticket to Ranjit Patil. On the other hand, Sharad Pawar's NCP has fielded former MLA Rahul Mote.
Solapur South Congress's Dilip Mane wanted a ticket from here but as per the agreement reached in the MVA, this seat went to Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena. The party has given ticket to Amar Patil. Now Dilip Mane is contesting as an independent.
