Rohit Shetty's film 'Singham Again' is all set to release on the occasion of Diwali. The film has been passed by the Censor Board. However, along with giving the film a U/A certificate, the censor board has turned the scissors on some scenes. 'Singham Again' has been linked to Ramayana. In such a situation, the board has censored the footage of 7.12 minutes so as not to hurt religious sentiments.
'Mahabharata' on Ramayana issue in 'Singham Again' According to Bollywood Hungama, the Censor Board Committee has asked to replace the 23-second 'match cut' scene in two places as required. According to the report, the first 23-second long scene shows Lord Ram, Mother Sita and Hanuman as Singham (Ajay Devgan), Avni (Kareena Kapoor) and Simba (Ranveer Singh). Another 23 second long scene shows Singham and Sri Rama touching their feet.
There will be a change in this scene Apart from this, the censor board has asked the makers to cut a 16-second scene in which Ravana is holding, dragging and pushing mother Sita. Not only this, a 29-second scene showing Hanuman burning and flirting with Simba (who is shown as Hanuman) has also been deleted. Along with this, the Shiva hymn playing in the background has also been deleted.
Why was the scene changed? The board has also censored 26 seconds of dialogue and scenes. The board said that the dialogue could affect India's international relations with the neighboring country.
Ordered to add a disclaimer The CBFC ordered the team to add a disclaimer at the beginning of the film which reads, “The film is purely fictional… Though the story of the film is inspired by Lord Ram, none of the characters in the film are inspired by him.
