Today on October 28, the Sensex closed at 80,005 with an increase of 602 points on the first trading day of the week. The Nifty also rose 186 points to close at 24,367.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 25 gained and 5 fell. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 36 were up and 14 were down. All sectors of the NSE closed higher. Shares of public sector banks were the biggest gainers.
Wari Energy listed at 69% premium
- Shares of Wari Energy rose 66.3% to Rs 2,500 on the NSE and 69.7% to Rs 2,550 on the BSE. Its issue price was Rs 1,503.
- Shares of Deepak Builders were listed down 1.48% at Rs 200 on the NSE and 2.22% at Rs 198.5 on the BSE. Its issue price was Rs 203.
Reliance shareholders got bonus shares Shares of Reliance Industries are trading ex-dividend today. At the annual general meeting of Reliance Industries, Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced a bonus of one share for each share held by the shareholders.
After the bonus, today the share is Rs. 1,330 is trading marginally higher at an adjusted price. On the last trading day, the shares of the company traded at Rs. closed at 2,656.30. RIL shares have fallen by 10% in the last one month.
Asian market bullish today
- In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei rose 1.45%. Meanwhile, Korea's Kospi is up 0.85% and China's Shanghai Composite is up 0.16%.
- On October 25, America's Dow Jones closed down 0.61% at 42,114 and the S&P 500 closed up 0.03% at 5,808. The Nasdaq closed up 0.56% at 18,518.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,036 crore on October 25. Meanwhile, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹4,159 crore
