Akashi Yoddha will be equipped with C-295 aircraft Indian Air Force: Spanish company Tata will make it in the country from today, know its features

This is C-295 tactical military transport aircraft which will be manufactured at Tata Company in Vadodara.

PM Narendra Modi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez inaugurated the TATA Aircraft Complex in Vadodara. C-295 transport aircraft will be built in this complex. An agreement has been signed between Spain and India to build 56 aircraft. The first 16 aircraft will be built in Spain. The remaining 40 will be manufactured by Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL). For the first time in the country, a private company will make aircraft for the army.

The complex is the first private Filon assembly line in the country. Which will make military aircraft. Transport aircraft are very important to the Indian Air Force. So that troops, weapons, fuel and hardware can be moved from one place to another. In this the C295 will help in light weight transportation.

For the first time in the country, a private company will manufacture the C-295 transport aircraft for the Army.

Can fly with 73 soldiers or 48 paratroopers

The C-295 aircraft is flown by two pilots. It can carry 73 soldiers or 48 paratroopers or 12 stretcher intensive care medevacs or 27 stretcher medevacs along with 4 medical attendants. It can carry a maximum weight of 9250 kg at a time. It has a length of 80.3 feet, a wingspan of 84.8 feet and a height of 28.5 feet.

Can go up to 4587 km at a speed of 482 km per hour

This aircraft comes with 7650 liters of fuel. It can fly at a maximum speed of 482 km per hour. Its range is 1277 to 4587 km. It depends on the weight loaded in it. But the ferry has a range of 5 thousand km and can reach a maximum height of 13,533 feet.

A short runway for landing, weapons can also be mounted A runway of 844 m to 934 m length is required for take off. Only one meter of runway is required for landing. It has six hardpoints. That is, a place to mount weapons and defense systems. Three each under both wings. or may be inboard pylons. In which weapons of 800 kg can be kept.

After Hyderabad, Vadodara will finalize the center plane Tata has started metal cutting work for 40 C295 aircraft since November last year. Hyderabad currently has its main constituent assembly. Many parts will be made there. Tata's Hyderabad facility will manufacture major parts of the aircraft. After this he will be sent to Vadodara.

All C-295 aircraft will be finalized at Vadodara. In which the engine will be installed. Electronics set will be arranged. After this it will be handed over to the Air Force. Aircraft number 32 will be indigenous. Currently more than 2 dozen countries are using this aircraft.

Why are these planes important for India?

Transport aircraft are very important to the Indian Air Force. So that troops, weapons, fuel and hardware can be moved from one place to another. In this the C295 will help in light weight transportation. The C295 aircraft will replace the Indian Air Force's aging HS748 Avros aircraft. Apart from this, the Antonov AN-32 from Ukraine will be replaced.
