Before becoming an actor, Aparshakti Khurana wanted to become a star cricketer in the Indian team. He said that one day after a practice session at the cricket academy, his father took him home after beating him with the bat. The reason was that he disrespected his coach.
In an interview to Shubhankar Mishra, Aparshakti said that he became insecure about his captaincy when his coach asked him to recruit some senior players for the team. Then he told this to the player of the opposite team. Aparashakti felt that the other team would object. However, this did not happen. He was too naive to realize that the coaches of the two teams could even be friends.
The father was furious after learning of the huge mistake. When Aparshakti reached the academy the next day, he found that he had not been included in the team. Meanwhile his father came to the academy. He met the coach. When the father came to know that his son was not included in the team, he asked the coach why. The coach then told him that Aparshakti had shared the team's secret planning with other teams.
Hearing this, Aparashakti's father got angry. He took Apar to his house from the academy and beat him with a bat. On this he said, 'You won't believe that our house was one kilometer away from the academy, they beat me all the way. I don't know if people today would agree with that. Father said that all those who insult their Guru, Brahma Vishnu Mahesh (Hindu Gods) gather on this earth, they cannot help you to be included in the Indian national team, because you have insulted your Guru. '
Now Aparashakti respects every teacher Aparshakti continued, 'I have never insulted any teacher after this incident. Even today, if someone younger than me comes to the gym to train me, I call him sir and never disrespect him.
