Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) released its first list for the Maharashtra assembly elections on Thursday evening. It has 45 names.
The party has given ticket to Yugendra Pawar from Baramati. He will contest against uncle Ajit Pawar. Anil Deshmukh has been nominated from Katol, Jitendra Awad from Mumbra Kalwa and Jayant Patil from Islampur seat.
NCP Sharad is part of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance with Congress-Shiv Sena Uddhav. On October 23, the three parties announced to contest the elections on 85-85-85 seats.
18 seats are said to be given to other parties of the Indian bloc, including Samajwadi Party, SWP and CPI(M). Still the matter is stuck on 15 seats.
