On the statement against Sanatan, Udhayanidhi said – No apologies: My intention was to show the oppressive practices of the Hindus; Sanatan was described as dengue-malaria

​​​​​​​Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin has refused to apologize for his comments calling Sanatan a disease like dengue, malaria. He said at an event in Chennai that I said the same thing about Sanatan that Periyar, Annadurai and Karunanidhi also said.

Udhayanidhi said that my statements have been distorted and presented. There were many court cases across the country including Tamil Nadu. I was also asked to apologise, but I am the grandson of a Kalaignar (artist). I will not apologize.

My comments were meant to address the alleged oppressive practices towards women. Women were not allowed to study in Hinduism. She could not go out of the house and if her husband died, she too had to die. Periyar raised his voice against all this.

Udhayanidhi said – Attempt to impose Hindi in Tamil Nadu

Deputy CM Stalin alleged that efforts were being made to impose Hindi in the state. He said – the changes made in Tamil song at present are proof of these efforts. During Doordarshan's Tamil programme, some words were deliberately omitted from the song.

No one can directly impose Hindi in Tamil Nadu, so they are removing some words from the Tamil national anthem. They are also trying to impose Hindi through new education policy, but all will fail.

On 2 September 2023, Udhayanidhi referred to Sanatan Dharma as dengue and malaria.

Udhayanidhi Stalin made a statement against Sanatan Dharma in an event on 2 September 2023. Four days after giving the statement i.e. on 7th September he gave clarification for the first time. He said, 'I am not an enemy of any religion. My statement was misinterpreted.

He said that I am not against Hinduism but against Sanatan practice. For the last 100 years, voices are being raised against Sanatan Dharma in Tamil Nadu. We will continue to speak against it for the next 200 years. Ambedkar and Periyar have also spoken about it on many occasions in the past.

Udhayanidhi was also reprimanded by the Supreme Court The Supreme Court on March 4 impeached Udhayanidhi Stalin. The Supreme Court said that Stalin abused his power. Stalin is not an ordinary man. He should think about the consequences of the statement.

President is tribal-widow, not summoned to Parliament for: Udhayanidhi made a controversial statement about not inviting President Draupadi Murmu to the inauguration program of the new Parliament building on 20 September 2023. He said that- President Murmu has not been invited because she is a widow and comes from a tribal community.

There was a dispute between Governor RN Ravi and CM MK Stalin in Tamil Nadu. The case is related to the allegation of deletion of the Dravidian word from a Tamil song. After which the Chief Minister has demanded the removal of the Governor from PM Modi. He was also accused of insulting the unity of the country and Tamil Nadu.
