MG Motors has reduced the price of its compact SUV Aster by Rs. has increased up to 27,000. MG launched the facelift of the Astor in the Indian market this year. The car has over 49 safety features including 14 level-2 ADS features. Apart from this, the SUV comes with personal AI assistance as before.
Its Savvy Pro 1.3 Turbo AT (Sangria Red) variant, CVT (Ivory) and 1.5 CVT (Sangria Red) models are priced at Rs. 27,000 has become expensive. On the other hand, the Sharp Pro 1.5-litre CVT (Ivory) costs Rs. 26,000 has been increased. The company has priced the Select 1.5 CVT (Ivory) SUV at Rs. 21,000 and the Sharp Pro 1.5-litre MT (Ivory) variant priced at Rs. 24,000 has been increased.
Similarly, the Select 1.5-litre MT (Ivory) and Shine 1.5-litre MT (Ivory) variants have seen a price hike of Rs 20,000. Earlier in June this year, the price of aster was Rs. 26,800 was increased. The SUV is priced at Rs. 9.98 lakhs and starts at Rs. 18.35 lakhs (price, ex-showroom).
In India, it competes with Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota High Rider, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Tigun and Skoda Kushka.
The new Astor is available in 6 color options.

What's New in 2024 MG Astor The new Astor comes with many new features like front ventilated seats, auto dimming IRVM and wireless phone charger. The car now has 49+ safety features including a 360 degree surround view camera and 14 level-2 ADS safety features.
The 10.1-inch infotainment system is now standard across all variants of the SUV and has been upgraded with Smart 2.0 UI. It now has more connected car features than ever before, including weather, news, calculator and Jio voice recognition system with voice commands. Its infotainment system now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
2024 MG Astor: Features Like the current model, this car has features like automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, 6-way power adjustable driver's seat. For passenger safety, it has safety features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill ascent and descent control and heated ORVM.
It also has Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which includes features like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping/departure assist, blind spot detection.
2024 MG Astor: PerformanceNo changes have been made to the engine and gearbox of the new MG Aster. As before, it has two engine options available. It has a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 110ps of power and 144Nm of torque.
At the same time, another 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine is available, generating 140ps of power and 220Nm of torque. For transmission, 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and CVT gearbox options are offered.
