Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Russia to participate in the BRICS Summit to be held on October 22 and 23. The Ministry of External Affairs has given this information on Friday. Russia is chairing the 16th BRICS summit this year.
During this summit to be held in Kazan, Russia, PM Modi will also hold bilateral talks with the leaders of the member countries. Chinese President Xi Jinping will also attend the summit. In the meantime, there may be a meeting between PM Modi and Xi Jinping. The two last met in 2022 during the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia.
Modi visited Russia in July this year. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited him to the BRICS summit. Modi went to Moscow in July to attend the 22nd India-Russia Summit. During his visit to Russia, PM Modi also held a bilateral meeting with Russian President Putin.
Modi was also awarded Russia's highest civilian honor 'Order of St. Andrew the Apostle'. The two leaders also visited the Rosatom Pavilion in Moscow.

Even then, the economies of the BRICS countries were growing rapidly. The concept of formation of BRICS organization is based on the premise of 'Rising Economy'.
Meaning countries whose economies have the courage to grow rapidly and compete with Western countries. Earlier Western countries controlled 60% to 80% of world economy, now BRICS countries are gradually taking their place.
Pakistan also wants to become a member of BRICS Pakistan also applied last year to join BRICS, the world's third most powerful economic bloc. It has also hoped to get help from Russia to achieve BRICS membership in 2024.
