Sensex falls by more than 300 points: It is trading at the level of 81,100, metal and auto shares slip.

A decline is being seen in the stock market today i.e. on 17th October. Sensex is trading at the level of 81,100 with a fall of more than 300 points. Nifty also has a gain of more than 100 points, it is trading at the level of 25,000.

Today, a huge decline is being seen in auto, metal and banking shares. There is growth in IT and energy shares. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 are declining and 9 are rising.

Mixed business in Asian market

  • There is a boom in the Asian market. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index is trading up 0.36% and China's Shanghai Composite index is up 0.07%.
  • On October 16, America's Dow Jones rose 0.79% to 43,077 and Nasdaq closed 0.28% to 18,367. The S&P 500 also gained 0.47%.
  • According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹3,435 crore on October 16. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 2,256 crore.

Today is the last day of Hyundai India's IPO

Today is the last day of Hyundai India's IPO. The company's shares will be listed in the market on October 22. The company has fixed its price band at Rs 1,865-1,960. For this a bid of at least Rs 13,720 will have to be made.

There was a decline in the market yesterday

Earlier yesterday i.e. on 16th October, a decline was seen in the stock market. The Sensex closed at 81,501 with a fall of 318 points. Nifty also fell by 86 points, it closed at 24,971.
