What was the storage event? Rishi Kapoor revealed in his memoir, Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored that while he was shooting in Pahalgam, Yash Chopra threw a party for him on his birthday. His wife Neetu and co-actor Naseem were also present at this time. He had finished shooting a song that day. The party guests were having fun inside the hotel and were completely unaware of what was happening outside.
The debate between horse owners and taxi drivers took a dire turn. A drunk driver started the beating. In no time the situation took a turn for the worse. A mob of thousands of people started pelting stones and fireballs at the hotel, creating chaos.

The 1976 film Kabhi Kabhi starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhi Gulzar, Shashi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in addition to Rishi Kapoor. This film was directed by Yash Chopra.
