A video of Superstar Rajinikanth's Chennai residence is going viral on social media in which his premises are seen completely submerged in water. Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu is currently facing heavy rains and many roads and areas are flooded. Chennai and its surrounding districts are facing flood-like conditions as well as traffic chaos and disruption of essential services. Due to the heavy rains not only the normal life has been affected but superstar Rajinikanth is also facing difficulties due to these rains. A video of the 'Jailor' actor's Chennai residence is going viral on social media in which the premises of his house are seen completely submerged. Heavy rain warning in Chennai The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of “extremely heavy rain” across Tamil Nadu, which will affect Chennai and surrounding districts. Many train, flight and bus services have been canceled or diverted due to bad weather. The Tamil Nadu government has declared it a public holiday and disaster management teams are on alert. IMD Warning The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rain over parts of Tamil Nadu including Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu and Chennai on October 16. This condition is caused by the cyclonic circulation of upper air over the Bay of Bengal. Heavy floods have disrupted railway services in various parts of the city, with the Chennai-Central-Mysore-Kaveri Express also cancelled. Domestic flights are also facing cancellations as many passengers chose not to travel. Tamil Nadu government in action The state government has declared a holiday in schools, colleges and government offices, banning essential services. A total of 219 disaster teams and boats have been deployed in Chennai and other districts. Although the superstar is yet to make any public address, reports suggest that Rajinikanth is taking all necessary precautions to ensure safety at home. This is not the first time Rajinikanth's house has been flooded; A similar situation occurred in 2023 due to Cyclone Michong.
