Actor-comedian Atul Parchure passed away on Monday evening. He lost his battle with cancer at the age of 57. Marathi actor Jaywant Wadkar informed about his death on Monday evening. Talking to a news channel, he said that Atul was going to work in the Marathi drama 'Suryachi Pillai'.
He was rehearsing with them for this, during which his health deteriorated. Jaywant said that Atul was again admitted to the hospital five days ago.
These days Atul was doing stage shows of his Marathi plays in Mumbai.
Atul Parchur worked in many films in Bollywood including 'Golmaal', 'Partner', 'Kyon Ki' and 'Awarapan'. He was also seen on Kapil Sharma's show. Apart from this, he created a sensation with his performance on the Marathi stage. Atul also acted in Marathi films and several TV serials.
After being informed about cancer, Atul shared this photo of himself with former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar on social media, in which the effect of cancer treatment on him was clearly seen.
Cancer happened in 2022 Atul was battling cancer since 2022. He said in an interview last year- 'In the year 2022, I went to Australia and New Zealand on a family vacation. After returning from there my health deteriorated. I could not eat anything properly. Then after getting tested, it came to know that I have cancer.'

A 5 cm cancerous tumor was found in the liver Atul further said, 'I saw fear in the doctor's eyes when my sonography was done. Seeing him, I immediately understood that something was wrong. I was told that I had a 5 cm long tumor in my liver, which was cancerous. At first I got the wrong treatment. In such a condition, during the course of treatment, my health worsened instead of improving. Even walking became difficult for me.'

In such condition, we had to wait for one and a half months Doctors told me to wait for one and a half months. The doctors said, if he does the surgery now, I will get jaundice and my liver will be flooded. I may not survive after this. Later I changed doctors. My condition improved with proper medication and chemotherapy. Now in the coming few days will know how good my condition is.'

Kapil's team contacted In this interview, Atul also said that Kapil's team also contacted him during this time. The makers wanted him to play Sumona's father in the show but he couldn't do much due to his ill health.

Has played comic roles in many films Atul started his career with the TV show 'RK Laxman Ki Duniya'. He played the role of Dhondu in Rohit Shetty's film 'All the Best'. He was also seen in Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Awarapan'.
