7 trainee doctors are on fast since October 6 to protest the rape-murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. On Thursday night, the condition of trainee doctor Aniket Mahato became critical. Aniket was admitted to RG Kar Medical Hospital.

Junior doctor Debashish Haldar said that Aniket, who was on hunger strike, was not even drinking water for the last few days. The health of 6 more junior doctors is also deteriorating. We have prepared all the tools keeping in mind the requirement.
A trainee doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Hospital on the night of August 8. On August 9, the victim's body was recovered from the medical college. From the second day the junior doctors protested for 42 days.
The state government did not accept the demands of the doctors. Because of this, the doctors started a hunger strike from the evening of October 5. 9 doctors are involved in this, today is the sixth day of hunger strike.
The first 6 doctors started a hunger strike on the evening of October 5. After this three more of his friends went on strike.
IMA said- Bengal government able to accept all demands of doctors Indian Medical Association (IMA) president RV Ashok has expressed concern over the health of the fasting junior doctors. He wrote a letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. In which it has been said that the doctors have been fasting to death for almost a week. Mamata Sarkar sent 4 doctors, suggested hospitalization The state health department sent a team of 4 specialist doctors to the hunger strike site on Thursday evening to get information about the health of the doctors who are on hunger strike. Dipendra Sarkar, who was present in the team while talking to the media, said that the doctors have not eaten anything for 5 days, so their health parameters have decreased. We are like their parents. We have suggested him to be admitted to the hospital before his health deteriorates.

About 20 representatives of medical colleges from across the state attended the meeting held at the health department headquarters in Salt Lake. Devashish Haldar said that the Chief Secretary is repeating the same old stories about the steps taken by the state to enforce security measures in campuses. The government also refused to give any written notice or time limit for the remaining demands.

After this the doctors ended the strike. He returned to work in hospitals. On 27 September, a case of thrashing of 3 doctors and 3 nurses at Sagar Dutta Hospital came to light, which angered the doctors and resumed the strike from 1 October.
On 4 October, the junior doctors called off the strike, but continued the sit-in. He said that we are returning to work as government hospitals are facing problems with large number of patients. However, he gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the state government. After this he started fasting.
More than 100 senior doctors resigned As of Wednesday night, 106 doctors and faculty at RG Kar Hospital have resigned after the second round of talks between the Mamata government and doctors failed. During the day, 19 doctors from Jalpaiguri Medical College and Hospital, 42 from Siliguri's North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 35 from Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital and around 70 doctors from Kolkata Medical College and Hospital resigned.
In the RG car, the junior doctor found blood stained gloves in the box On Thursday, a junior doctor at RG Kar said that while treating a patient, he found blood-stained surgical gloves in a sealed box. Using such gloves carries the risk of spreading infection.
The junior doctor said he was treating an infected patient at the hospital's trauma care center when he found the gloves. He said that if the spots were mud or dirt, they could have been cleaned. But these blood stains are visible.
The junior doctor also claimed that this is not only an issue limited to RG Kar Hospital, but a similar problem has come to light in many other medical colleges as well. Earlier on September 28, fungus was found in saline bottles.
The Central Medical Supplies Division of the state health department has said it will look into the matter.
