Coldplay tickets blackmarketing case: Book My Show files complaint against fake sellers, Rs 3500 tickets being sold for Rs 70 thousand

Pooja Nimish Mishra, General Manager, Legal Department, Andheri office of Book My Show has filed a complaint against several fake sellers on October 2. He alleged that for the past several days he has been receiving complaints through e-mails that Coldplay concert tickets are being sold for arbitrary amounts through fake websites. They also found several screenshots, including the numbers and chats of about 27 people selling tickets.

Some time back, Book My Show received an e-mail from a person named Ashwin, who demanded several tickets and said that he had taken money from several people in the name of tickets and assured him of the tickets, a Mid-Day report quoted police officials as saying. is However, people associated with the app refused to give him tickets. In another mail, a person named Arjun has sent screenshots of some WhatsApp chats, in which tickets are being blackmarketed. The mail also mentions 27 blackmarketing people and several Instagram accounts selling tickets.

Book My Show filed the complaint on September 25 Earlier on September 25, Book My Show filed a complaint against sellers of fake Coldplay concert tickets and issued a statement that – Book My Show does not allow Viagogo and Gigsberg or any third party to sell and resell tickets for Coldplay's Music of the Spears World Tour 2025 in India. Party member Tejinder Singh Tiwana has said that Book My Show was supposed to offer tickets to people who first visited the app, however, the app created a special link for blackmarketing agents to buy tickets and sell them at exorbitant prices. came, due to which they could not book tickets. Book My Show app has earned 500 crore rupees from this manipulation.
