Navratri of Sharadi means Aso month has started from today. Nine different forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped in this 9-day long festival. Many devotees fast for nine days on the occasion of Navratri and offer different Prasad to all forms of Goddess Durga.

Question- What is the favorite Prasad of Maa Durga?

Answer- Along with worshiping the 9 forms of Maa Durga during Navratri, Annakoot is also very important. Different Prasad is offered to each form of the Goddess. For example, malpua is offered to some goddesses, milk to others and coconut to others. Let's know which goddess is offered from Maa Shailputri to Maa Siddhidatri.

Day 1- Navratri begins with the worship of Ma Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Mother. On this day, pumpkin barfi, halwa and sweets are offered to Mata Shailputri.

Day 2- On the next day, another form of Mata Brahmacharini is worshipped. On this day Panchamrut made of sugar, fruits, curd and dry fruits is offered.

Day 3- Mother Chandraghanta is worshiped on the third day of Navratri. Food made of milk, kheer and Panchamrut is offered to Mother Chandraghanta.

Day 4- On the fourth day Kushmanda, the fourth form of Goddess Mother, is worshipped. On this day, Malpua Prasad is offered to Mother Goddess.

Day 5- Mata Skandamata is worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. They are given yellow fruits or yellow sweets.

Day 6- On the sixth day, honey and mung bean halwa is offered to worship Goddess Katyayani.

Day 7- On the seventh day jaggery and things made of jaggery are offered to Maa Kalratri.

Day 8- Mahagauri, the eighth form of mother, is offered coconut or coconut barfi.

Day 9- Fruits, chana, puri, kheer and halwa are offered to Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Maa Durga.

Question- How to prepare pumpkin barfi at home for Mata Shailputri? Answer- Navratri begins with the worship of Mother Shailputri. Traditionally, pumpkin barfi is offered to Mata Shailputri.
