Ask the Expert Due to this, the risk of heart attack is highest

This time in Prabhasakshi’s special program Ask the Expert, we talked to Dr. Farhan Ahmed who is MS General Surgery and is currently working in a hospital in Varanasi. We talked to him and learned about heart attack, a very deadly and becoming common disease, and understood why this problem is becoming common and how to control it.
Let us see what questions were answered in the interview.
What are the symptoms of this disease? How to detect if someone is having a heart attack?
Before knowing the symptoms, let us know what this disease is? Heart attack occurs when oxygen is not able to reach the heart and due to excess trachealide and cholesterol, there is blockage in oxygen reaching it, then we say that a heart attack has occurred. Sometimes its symptoms are not visible when there is 80-90% blockage but when the blockage is 100% then its symptoms become visible. Therefore, if we detect this condition early, it can be treated in time.
How to detect it in time?
You can find out by getting blood tests done such as lipid profile which measures trachelicide and cholesterol levels. If something is found in the blood tests, then coronary CT scan or angiography can be done. But the first test to detect heart attack is ECG, but sometimes there are no changes in it even if there is blockage.
What causes cholesterol to increase and how can it be controlled?
We can prevent cholesterol from increasing by making some changes in eating habits and lifestyle, such as using less oil and spices.
How to differentiate between acidity pain and heart attack?
The biggest difference between the pain caused by gas and heart attack is that the pain caused by gas is stinging and often occurs in the lower part of the chest. Whereas in the pain of heart attack, a strange stiffness and heaviness is felt. And if you have any such pain, then immediately get an ECG done to find out its cause.
What first aid can be done during a heart attack?
If we find out that it is a heart attack, then first of all we can dissolve Disprin in water and give it to the patient before taking him to the hospital.
What precautions should a heart attack patient take?
First of all, we have to keep our cholesterol and cholesterol under control by making changes in our diet and lifestyle.
In case of a heart attack, explain in simple language what the treatment is so that they can understand what suggestions the doctors are giving in case of such a problem.
In the initial treatment of heart attack, the extent of blockage is detected and in which of the three tubes of the heart it is present. After that, if the blockage is less then medicines are given for treatment or angioplasty is done immediately. And if all three tubes of the patient are blocked then bypass is done.
Is angioplasty necessary in every heart attack?
It is not necessary to have angioplasty, the extent of blockage is determined and treatment is done accordingly.
What improvements are seen once treatment begins?
After a heart attack, it has to be seen whether the medicines are causing any harm and the patient starts seeing improvements in the form of pain and shortness of breath.
When can you go home after heart attack treatment?
If the patient is stable after angioplasty, then he is usually kept in the hospital for 24 hours and after bypass, he is discharged according to the recovery of the patient.
What should be the lifestyle, diet and physical activity after heart attack?
If you exercise or go to the gym, initially do light exercises or lift less weight and then gradually come back to your normal routine. Apart from that, take care of your diet and get your trachealcide and cholesterol checked every three months. Do not eat non-veg food and eat less oil.
What can cause a heart attack?
Smokers are most at risk. Apart from this, patients suffering from obesity, diabetes and hypertension are also likely to suffer from it.
The risk of which other diseases also increases after a heart attack?
Heart attack patients are given blood thinners, which puts them at the highest risk of brain hemorrhage.
What is open heart surgery and why is it considered the most risky?
Bypass itself is called open heart surgery in which the blocked artery is bypassed by opening the chest. There is a lot of risk to life in this because in this, blood is supplied to the patient through artificial heart for some time and after bypass, the heart is started. Many times the patient’s heart is unable to function properly and he has to be put on a ventilator. Sometimes the patient is at risk of lung damage due to ventilated associated pneumonia.
