Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition Launched in India: This is the first India-only limited edition, priced at ₹4.98 crore

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has launched the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition in India at Rs. 4.98 crore (ex-showroom, India) has been launched. It is based on the long-wheelbase Range Rover available for sale in India. It has been customized by the brand's Bespoke SV division. The Ranthambore Edition is the first limited edition made exclusively for India.

Ranthambore Edition will have only 12 units. Each unit will have bespoke door sill plates indicating which model the unit is (eg 1 of 12). The SV Division's exterior gets a custom black finish with a red finish.

It is also contrasted with Corinthian bronze and anthracite accents, inspired by the tiger stripe. Its grille, tail gate and 23-inch dark alloy wheels are also inspired by the tiger stripe.

Interior inspired by tiger's spine and stripes Talking about the interior of the Ranthambore edition, the four-seater cabin gets Caraway and Perlino semi-aniline leather with contrast stitching. The seat is embroidered, inspired by the spine and stripes of a tiger.

Features like reclining seat-refrigerated compartmentCustomized scatter cushions, chrome highlights, light wenge veneer and white ceramic dials are used to differentiate the Ranthambore Edition from the standard Range Rover SV. It is based on the SV, so it gets fully recyclable seats for rear seat passengers, powered table, deployable cupholders and a refrigerated compartment with SV etched glassware.

The Ranthambore Edition gets a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine​​​​​​This limited-run model has a 400hp, 550Nm, 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which is also available in the Autobiography variant. The cost of which is Rs. 2.6 crore (ex-showroom, India). The company says it will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Ranthambore Edition to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India.
