Israel Prepares to Attack Lebanon Border: Army Will Cross Border After Airstrike; America-France asked to stop the war

​​​​​​​After air strikes in Lebanon, Israel has now entered the border of Lebanon and started preparing for war. According to a CNN report, Israel's army chief Harjei Halevi said on Wednesday that his airstrikes in Lebanon were aimed at destroying Hezbollah structures and finding a way to infiltrate its border.

Halevi said Israel's army would enter Hezbollah's border and destroy their military outposts. Then they will know what it means to face the Israeli army. He said that the Hizbullah attack had caused thousands of people living in the northern areas of Israel to flee their homes to the southern areas. Now they can return to their homes.

Meanwhile, the US and France on Wednesday demanded a 21-day ceasefire to temporarily stop the Israel-Lebanon war. According to news agency AP, an emergency meeting was called in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York regarding this war.

Many European countries including Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar supported the ceasefire demand. At the meeting, France said that it was necessary to stop the ongoing war in Lebanon, otherwise the war in the Middle East could escalate further. It can be stopped through diplomacy.

Biden said – a ceasefire is necessary for the security of the people

President Biden said the time has come for a cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon. This is necessary for people to return home safely. He sought the support of the governments of Israel and Lebanon for a ceasefire. However, so far neither Hezbollah, Lebanon nor Israel have responded to the ceasefire.

According to the New York Times, American officials hope that if the war between Hezbollah and Israel stops, it will also affect the ongoing war in Gaza. Fighting has been going on in Gaza for almost a year.

According to the report, there is a lot of pressure on Biden to stop the war in the Middle East. Now he has been in the presidency for only 116 days. Biden has long been trying to stop the war through negotiations, but so far he has failed. If his efforts are successful, it will improve his image.

The biggest war in 18 years between Israel and Hezbollah

Last week, the worst fighting since 2006 broke out between Israel and Hezbollah. On September 17, a pager attack took place in Lebanon. Just a day later, pagers and walkie-talkies also exploded. Hezbollah and Lebanon blamed Israel for the attack.

Israel has been launching missile attacks in Lebanon for the past 7 days. According to Aljazeera, more than 700 people have died in Lebanon due to Israeli missile attacks. Apart from this, more than 5 lakh people have had to leave their homes. Israel has named the operation in Lebanon “Northern Arrow”.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched its largest attack on Lebanon on September 23. The IDF carried out airstrikes targeting 1,600 Hezbollah positions. It was claimed that 10 thousand rockets were destroyed. 569 people were killed in this attack. The attacks by Israel continued on Wednesday. Lebanon's health ministry said at least 72 people were killed in the Israeli attack.
