Bipasha Basu made her Bollywood debut with the film 'Ajnabee' in 2001. In the early stages of her career, Bipasha's realistic voice was not used in films. Dubbing artist Mona Ghosh dubbed her in films like 'Raaz', 'Gunah', 'Jism'. Annoyed by the change in her voice, Bipasha Basu once threatened Mona Ghosh.
Recently, in The Motor Mouth's podcast, dubbing artist Mona Ghosh said, Bipasha Basu was not happy to know that I had dubbed the voice for her. In an interview, he was asked what kind of reaction he got from the actresses he voiced for. On this Mona said, some were saying, we don't understand, how do you do this, some were saying I will kill you if you dub for me again. When asked who the actress is. So the answer was – 'Bipasha Basu'

Mona Ghosh further said that maybe he did not realize that it was not my decision to dub the voice for. 'I don't go to people and say that I want to dub for Bipasha. If someone comes to me and makes a request, this is my business. Why should I refuse?'
In the conversation, Mona also revealed that she voiced Rani Mukerji's character in the film 'Ghulam', although she did not like it at all. He said, 'Rani Mukherjee still says in every interview that she hates this voice. But this is not their fault. We get so used to our own voice that we cannot adopt any other voice in our face. If any other voice were imposed on our face we would feel strange.'
Notably, Mona Ghosh has given voice to many actresses. She voiced Deepika Padukone in 'Om Shanti Om', Ameesha in 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' and Katrina Kaif in 'Rajneeti'.
