Zeenat blows chalam to make scene real: Mata scolds team members, Dev Anand suggests

Zeenat wrote, 'We were shooting for 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' in Kathmandu. Dev Sahib collected a group of hippies from the streets for the song 'Dum Maro Dum'. Hippies were also excited to do this because they were getting a chance to smoke chalam with ganja in Nepal. Another was getting free food for working in a Bollywood film. Apart from this, they were also getting money for this.

I actually blew the chalam for the song Zeenat said, 'Dev Anand wanted to make this scene completely realistic. They had to make my character Janice look really drunk. The easiest way to do this was to get drunk with hippies. I was a teenager at that time. For this song I took continuous long puffs from Chalam. In such a situation, by the time we finished shooting, I was already drunk. I was not in a position to go to a hotel, so some of the team took me to a beautiful place. Where I felt better and then gradually I regained consciousness.
