India-A wins Duleep Trophy title: Defeat India-C by 132 runs; Sports Shashwat Rawat player of the match from Baroda

India-A has won the Duleep Trophy 2024 title. The team defeated India C by 132 runs in the penultimate and final round on Sunday, the fourth day. Shashwat Rawat scored a century in the first innings and a half-century in the second innings. He was adjudged player of the match.

The winner was to be decided from the last round of the Duleep Trophy itself. This time the tournament was played in a new format. There were no knockout matches, the top team in the points table was declared the champion.

In another match, India D defeated India B by 257 runs. Chasing a target of 373 runs, India D bowled out India B for 115 runs on Sunday, the fourth and final day of the match. Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh took 6 wickets in the second innings.

India A Vs India C: Shashwat Rawat scored 124 runs in the first innings India A scored 297 runs batting first in the match. Shashwat Rawat played an innings of 124 runs. In reply, India C team could score only 234 runs. Abhishek Porel scored the highest 82 runs.

India A declared their second innings by scoring 286 runs. Meanwhile Ryan Parag contributed 73 runs. Shashwat scored 53 runs. Kushagra played an innings of 42 runs. India C needed 350 runs to win. However, wickets continued to fall at regular intervals. Apart from Sudarshan, no other batsman could play big innings.

In the second innings, Sudarshan, who was batting at number 3, scored 111 runs in 206 balls and was dismissed by the famous Krishna. Apart from that, no batsman from India C could score even a half-century. Captain Ruturaj Gaekwad scored 44 runs off 93 balls. He hit 5 fours. In the second innings from India, the famous Krishna and Tanush Kotian took 3 wickets each. Aqib Khan took 2 wickets.

India B Vs India D: Ricky Bhui scored an unbeaten 119 in the second innings In the first innings, India-D scored 349 runs and India B scored 282 runs. India D scored 305 runs in the second innings and based on a 67-run lead in the first innings, India B were given a target of 373 runs to win. In reply, the India B team was bowled out for 115 runs.

Arshdeep Singh took 6 wickets and Aditya Thakur took 4 wickets in the second innings for India-D. Nitish Kumar Reddy was the top scorer for India B with 40 runs. Except Nitish, no batsman could play a big innings. Ricky Bhui played an unbeaten innings of 119 in the second innings for India D. Shreyas Iyer scored 50 runs and Sanju Samson scored 45 runs. Mukesh Kumar took 3 wickets and Navdeep Saini took 3 wickets for India B.

Samson's century in the first innings After India D lost 5 wickets for 216 runs in the first innings, Sanju Samson took charge of the team. Samson scored 106 runs, Ricky Bhui 56 runs, KS Bharat 52 runs and Devdutt Padikal 50 runs. Navdeep Saini took 5 wickets and leg spinner Rahul Chahar took 3 wickets for India B. While Mukesh Kumar has got 1 success.

Captain Abhimanyu Iswaran scored 116 runs and Washington Sundar scored 87 runs in the first innings from India B. Saurabh Kumar took 5 wickets for India D. Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets and Aditya Thakur took 2 wickets.

Sanju Samson scored 106 runs in the first innings.
