Modi meets tech CEOs in New York: Sundar Pichai and Shantanu Narayan present, discuss cooperation in technology sector

PM Narendra Modi tweeted, “Roundtable with tech CEOs in New York, discussed aspects related to technology, innovation. Also highlighted the progress India has made in this area. Happy to see immense optimism towards India.”

PM Narendra Modi is on his three-day US tour. On Sunday (India time), PM Modi held a meeting in New York with CEOs of several tech companies ranging from semiconductors, electronics to biotechnology.

Adobe Chairman and CEO Shantanu Narayan, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, IBM CEO Arvind Krishna, AMD Chairman and CEO Lisa Su, Moderna Chairman Naubar Afyan-Chairman were present in the CEO roundtable meeting.

'Increasing cooperation between US-India in fields like AI, quantum computing' Along with CEOs of major US companies, Prime Minister Modi discussed promoting greater cooperation between the two countries in the cutting-edge fields of AI, quantum computing, semiconductors and biotechnology.

India's role in carbon emissions is less than four percent Before the meeting, PM Modi addressed the people of the Indian community. In his address, he said that India has no role in harming the world. India is home to 17 percent of the world's population and accounts for less than four percent of its carbon emissions.

The Prime Minister further said that India is a launching pad for all kinds of technology. Now the country wants devices around the world to be powered by 'Made in India' semiconductor chips. You guys should plant a tree in your mother's name.
