Question- Why is the production house pressing money? Keeps, what is the benefit to them?

Answer: Some people have bad intentions. If the people running the production houses leave out the above two-three categories, they do not consider the rest as human beings. They contract only the actor-actress, keeping aside the rest of the crew members, make-up artists and technicians. There is no account of their work. All the money is spent to give to the people at the top, but the people at the bottom are left behind. As there is no agreement these people cannot fight for their rights.

Question- Where does the producers get so much courage, there is no one to talk to them?

Answer- Producers have a lobby. They support each other. If anyone raises voice against them, they are ostracized from the industry. Further it becomes difficult to get work.

Question- What should be done to stop this arbitrary?

Answer- There should be an agreement with everyone involved in the shooting of the film. How many days he will work, how much money he will get and for how long all this information should be recorded in writing. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting should make a rule that no producer's film should be released until all dues are paid. Makers who are repeatedly facing such accusations should be banned outright.

Q- Does the money get stuck even after signing the contract?

Answer- I myself am a victim of this. Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's film Bhootnath was directed by me. Till date I have not received full payment. Vasu Bhagnani did not pay full amount for 'Kal Kisane Dekha Hai'. I filed a case. But how many people can do this? The government and associations have to be strict to prevent such incidents. If even one is acted upon, all will improve.

Question- What about the actors sitting as producers?

Answer: Actors have also started joining the production to avoid wasting money. Shah Rukh Khan's Rs 6 crore was also trapped in the market. He opened his own production house to avoid facing all this in future.
