Dear Vasundhara Davlan: Without a car I have no chain, change the bicycle chain today!

Janasmrat Narayana Swamy's famous quote is, 'Without tea I will not be chained…'. But fast forward to today's world where people go out to tea, there is no chain without a car. Today is the day in the world, which advocates not using cars. Every year on September 22, cities around the world celebrate 'World Car-Free Day', encouraging motorists to ditch their cars for a day. On this day citizens are told the numerous benefits of going car-free, including in particular the reduction of air pollution and the promotion of walking and cycling in a safer environment, with healthier health being a bonus! The World Car-Free Network says, 'This day can provide a 365-day sense of what our cities look and feel like without cars. Meanwhile, every year from 16 to 22 September, European cities show their commitment to clean and sustainable urban transport during 'Mobility Week'. Use of bicycles or EVs is encouraged today. Car-Free Day offers a huge opportunity for the world, for cities, to understand how pollution affects our lives. Vehicle emissions are a major source of outdoor air pollution, especially in cities. According to the World Health Organization's 2021 statistics, 7 million people died due to air pollution. Transportation is also the fastest-growing source of fossil-fuel carbon emissions, the largest contributor to climate change. Vehicle emissions are the result of poor fuel quality and poor vehicle regulation worldwide. The fifth questionable rhino population decline today marks 'World Rhino Day', an annual day on September 22 to raise awareness and raise funds for the five rhino species. There are five species of this animal in the world namely black rhinoceros, white rhinoceros, one horned rhinoceros, Sumatran rhinoceros and Javan rhinoceros. India has the largest number of one-horned rhinos in the world. The 'World Wildlife Fund' in South Africa announced 'World Rhino Day' in 2010 in view of the impending crisis on the rhino population that started in the 1990s in Africa. As of 2010, there were only 30,000 rhinos left in the world. There are many threats to rhinos around the world, including poaching for their horns, habitat loss, population density and genetic diversity are decreasing day by day. The one-horned rhinoceros is also known as the Indian rhinoceros in the world, and is the largest of the species. The largest number of one-horned rhinoceros 'Kaziranga' in India is found in Assam. The one-horned rhinoceros population in India is approximately 3,271. Which is 81.3 percent of the global population of 4,023. These rhinos mostly live in our national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. They are considered vulnerable under the 'IUCN Red List'. Included in Schedule-I under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Apart from this it is commonly found in Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan. Black in color, gorilla by name, hardly anyone is unfamiliar with the name gorilla, but still September 24th is celebrated as 'World Gorilla Day' to make people recognize it. Gorillas are the largest primates, weighing an estimated 200 kilograms. In the year 1989, only 620 mountain gorillas remained. 'World Gorilla Day' was started in 2017 and this special day is celebrated every year on 24 September. The question is, what work is today? The answer is, on the same day Diane Fossey founded the 'Carrisock Research Centre' in 1967. In the valley between Mount Karisimbi and Bisok, Dian established the first research center to study all aspects of the endangered mountain gorilla and made an unprecedented contribution to the world's scientific knowledge of gorillas and their habitats. The gorilla species has been listed under 'Conservation on Migratory Species' Appendix-I since 1979. Gorillas live in trans boundaries around the world and even cross national borders. Because of this, international cooperation is proving to be crucial for the conservation of gorillas. C. M. The Gorilla Convention is also unique in the world under S, which is the only international legal instrument dedicated to the protection of these animals. There are two main species found in the world Eastern Gorilla and Western Gorilla. Each has two subspecies, including the mountain gorilla and low-land gorilla subspecies within the eastern gorilla. Within the Western gorilla, the subspecies Western lowland gorilla and Cross River gorilla are recorded. Both species are critically endangered. In which habitat loss, human activities like agriculture, mining are destroying their habitat. A major threat is poaching, which is hunted for its meat trade. Apart from this, some invasive diseases are proving fatal to gorillas. Environment, how are you? 'World Environment Health Day' is observed every year on 26 September to raise awareness about the connection between human health and the environment. The day is an initiative of the International Federation of Environmental Health, which was created to promote environmental health and cooperation among different countries. Among the main activities of the day is to raise awareness, discussing the importance of environmental health literacy and health hazards. Governments, organizations and communities are encouraged to collaborate in sustainable practices, so as to improve the environment and human health. Accreditation of environmental health professionals is advocated, as well as improvements in environmental health guidelines are encouraged. Although the issue has been worked out of hand, the ground reality is very different. A meaningful celebration of this day is to create public awareness about air pollution, water pollution, soil contamination, physical hazards, chemical hazards and biological hazards.}
