New Vivo-V40 Series Smartphone to Launch on September 25: 'Vivo V40e' with 3D AMOLED Curved Display, 50MP Selfie Camera and 5500mAh Battery

Chinese tech company Vivo is going to launch the second smartphone of the Vivo V40 series 'Vivo V40e' in the Indian market on September 25. The company has given this information on its website and social media platforms.

Along with confirming the launch date, Vivo has also shared several specifications of the upcoming phone. Like the recently launched smartphone, the upcoming smartphone will have a 5500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

The company claims that this will be the thinnest smartphone in the Indian market in this battery capacity segment. Apart from this, the smartphone will feature a 3D AMOLED curved display with 4500 nits peak brightness and a 50MP selfie camera. Its starting price in the Indian market may be Rs 28,000.

The Vivo V40e will also have a ZEISS telephoto portrait camera like the previous smartphone. ZEISS cameras are known for high quality workmanship and superior light intensity. This camera has features like standard autofocus lens and manual focus.

The company launched two smartphones in the Vivo V40 series on August 7 – Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro. Let's know its features…

Vivo V40 Series: Specifications

  • Display: Both the Vivo V40 smartphones feature a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its peak brightness is 2,800 nits and the resolution is 1260×2800 pixels.
  • Main camera: A 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main camera and a 50MP wide-angle camera are provided on the back panel of the Vivo V40. At the same time, the triple camera setup on the rear panel of Vivo V40 Pro consists of Sony IMX921 main camera, 50MP wide angle and 50MP Sony IMX816 (ZEISS) telephoto camera.
  • Selfie camera: Both smartphones have a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calling.
  • Battery and Charging: Both the smartphones have a 5500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
  • Processor: The company has given Vivo V40 Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. While the Vivo V40 Pro has a MediaTek Dimension 9200+ processor. Both the smartphones have Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
  • Other features: The phone features smart color temperature adjustment, distance sensitive lighting, studio quality Aura Light and a ZEISS professional portrait camera. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor and a Type-C charging point.
