India suffered a blow earlier in the day: Ravindra Jadeja misses century, Akash Deep also out; Bumrah at the crease with Ashwin

The first match of the 2-Test series between India and Bangladesh is being played in Chennai. Friday is the second day of matches and the first session is underway.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah are at the crease for Team India. The Indian team has started playing with a score of 339/6.

Taskin Ahmed dismissed Ravindra Jadeja and Akash Deep. Jadeja scored 86 runs off 124 balls. He shared 199 runs for the seventh wicket with Ashwin.

Ashwin-Jadeja's century partnership

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja put on an unbeaten century partnership for the 7th wicket. Jadeja shared a century by taking a single off Nahid Rana in the 62nd over. Team India lost the sixth wicket for 144 runs.
