Tech company Apple has started rolling out iOS 18 software update for iPhone users today i.e. September 16. Indian iPhone users will get this update from 10:30 PM tonight. In this update, users will get many other features including home screen customization, lock screen customization, control center customization, text effects and lock and hide apps.
The company had given information about these features at the WWDC event in June this year. Apple Intelligence will not be available in the initial update. However, the Apple Intelligence update will come to the latest iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Home screen customization Through this feature, users can place the app icon anywhere. Along with making the app icon dark in color, there will also be an option to enlarge the icon without text.
Users can schedule messages
In the iOS 18 update, iPhone users will get the option to schedule messages. After selecting the time, users will write their message and send it, which will reach the message recipient at the selected time.
Text effect
After the update, users will be able to select text and add effects to it. Users will be able to send messages with that effect. Android smartphone users will also get RCS support for better messaging.
Lock and hide apps
iOS After the 18 update, iPhone users will get the option to lock apps and hide apps. Users can use Face ID, Touch ID or passcode to lock and hide apps.
