Bilateral relations between India and China are at an all-time low. Since 2020, the armies of both the countries are facing each other in Ladakh. However, the withdrawal of forces began in February 2021, which is still ongoing. Speaking at the Geneva Center for Security Policy, Jaishankar described peace as important for withdrawal of troops from the border and normalization of relations between the two countries.
