BJP MLAs letter to President, sack Kejriwal government: They are running government from jail, letter from President's Office to Home Ministry

BJP MLAs in Delhi have written to President Draupadi Murmu demanding the dismissal of the Kejriwal government. The President's Office has sent this letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs. It has been written in the letter that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is in jail. In such a situation, many government works are stuck. Files are not being signed. The letter is signed by 7 other MLAs including Vijendra Gupta, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly and a former MLA. Why is there a constitutional crisis in Delhi… The petition to remove Kejriwal from the post of Chief Minister was rejected twice Arvind Kejriwal did not resign from the post of Chief Minister after his arrest in March. He is running the government from jail. However, in the meantime, the case of removing Kejriwal from the post of CM also reached the court twice. Kejriwal granted bail thrice, released once Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on 21 March in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Liquor Policy. The CBI then arrested him from Tihar Jail on June 26 in a corruption case. On July 12, the Supreme Court granted interim bail to Kejriwal in the ED case, but he remains in jail in a corruption case. The Supreme Court had on September 5 reserved its verdict on his plea challenging his arrest in the CBI case. Q- Tenure till February 2025, Kejriwal government will be sacked? Arvind Kejriwal is adamant about not resigning from the post of Chief Minister. Now if the Home Ministry takes any action on the BJP MLAs' letter and the government is sacked then President's rule may be imposed. Anyway, assembly elections may be held in Delhi in the next four-five months. The tenure of the Delhi government is ending in February 2025. The first President's rule was implemented in Delhi during the Kejriwal government
