Russia to build nuclear power plant on Moon: India-China desire to join, target to join by 2035; It will help in the moon mission

Russia is working on a plan to build a nuclear power plant on the moon. The power plant is part of a partnership between Russia and China under which both countries are planning to build a base on the moon. With its help, the energy requirement of the base to be built on the moon will be met. Along with Russia and China, now India also wants to participate in the planning of this plant. The Russian news agency TASS quoted Alexei Likhashev, the head of Russia's state nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom, as saying. Likhashev said at the Eastern Economic Forum in the Russian city of Vladivostok that the project is multinational. Our partner countries China and India are also taking interest in this project. Plans to build nuclear power plant by 2035 Earlier in March, Russian space agency Roscosmos CEO Yuri Borisov said that in 2033-35, Russia and China will jointly set up a nuclear power plant on the lunar surface. Borisov said Russia would build a nuclear-powered rocket to carry the power plant to the lunar surface. It will be a cargo rocket and fully automatic. It will not require humans to operate it, humans will only have to focus on launching. Rosatom's project aims to build a small nuclear power plant on the moon. With its help, 0.5 MW electricity will be generated. It will help run the base being built on the moon. India also wants to send humans to the moon by 2040 India's space agency ISRO is working on a plan to send humans to the surface of the moon by 2040. According to the Economic Times, if India works with Russia to build a nuclear power plant on the moon, it will also get help in its moon mission. Apart from this, India wants to build its own space station in space by 2035. Also India is working on Gaganyaan mission. Gaganyaan is India's first manned space flight mission under which four astronauts will go into space. This mission can be launched by 2025. Gaganyaan will have a 3-day mission, under which a team of astronauts will be sent into an orbit 400 km above Earth. After this the crew module will be safely lowered into the sea. If India succeeds in its mission, it will become the fourth country to do so. Earlier, America, China and Russia have done this.
