Miran Trivedi The great showman of cinema, film maker and actor Raj Kapoor's extra-marital affairs with actresses Nargis, Vyjayanthimala, Padmini etc. have always been a hot topic. Also, his love affair with heroine Nargis became popular. In the film world, Raj Kapoor and Nargis spent a lot of time together on the film sets when they did 18 consecutive films together. Under such circumstances, Raj and Nargis of colorful moods are strongly attracted towards each other. Gradually the intimacy between the two increased. The two became very close to each other while working together in 'Barsaat', 'Shri 420', 'Awara' and 'Jagate Raho'. When Raj Kapoor's relationship with Nargis broke up, he couldn't control himself. When Nargis felt that Raj Kapoor would not marry her, she broke up with her beloved Raj and married actor Sunil Dutt. In love with Nargis, Raj Kapoor remained immersed in the world of alcohol. After the marriage, Nargis did not act in any of Raj Kapoor's films again, but rumors of their relationship created a rift between the two families. Nargis Kapoor never went to any party organized by the family. All this lasted for about 24 years. At last this neglect came to an end. Nargis was invited to attend the wedding of Raj Kapoor's son Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Nargis attended the wedding with her husband Sunil. Actor Rishi Kapoor clarified in his autobiography 'Khullam Khubala' that Nargisji was nervous to attend my wedding, but my mother Krishna Raj Kapoor made her feel comfortable and loving. So Nargis did not feel even for a moment that she had come there in the wrong place or that no one liked her presence.' After completing the film 'Jagate Raho' in 1956, Nargisji R. K. Didn't set foot in the studio. He attended the Kapoor family's wedding after twenty-four years. At that time, Raj Kapoor's wife Krishna told Nargisji that my husband is a romantic, I can understand his attraction towards you. In 'Khullam Khula', Rishi writes: 'My father had an affair with Nargisji when I was very young, but it had no effect on me. I don't remember anything going wrong at home either.' In the autobiography, Rishi has also talked about Raj Kapoor and Vyjayantimal's love affair. I remember when my father was involved with Vyjayanthimala, I used to go with my mother to stay with my mother at the 'Nataraj' hotel on Marine Drive.' }
