BJP announces list of 67 candidates in Haryana: CM Saini to contest from Ladwa; 17 MLA-8 ministers repeat, ticket of one minister cut off

In Haryana, the BJP on Wednesday, September 4 released its first list of candidates for 67 of the total 90 assembly seats. CM Naib Saini will contest from Ladwa seat in Kurukshetra. While former minister Anil Vij has been given ticket from Ambala Cantt, minister Kamal Gupta from Hisar and Kanwar Pal Gurjar from Jagadhari in Yamunanagar. All 90 seats of Haryana will go to polls in a single phase on October 5. The result will come on 8th October. In the 2019 assembly elections, the alliance of BJP and Janayak Janata Party formed the government in the state. Then Manohar Lal Khattar became Chief Minister and Dushyant Chautala became Deputy CM. The alliance of BJP and JJP was broken due to seat sharing in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. After this BJP replaced Manohar Lal and made Naib Singh Saini as Chief Minister. The BJP, which has been forming the government for two consecutive terms, is facing an anti-incumbency challenge.
