50-50 encounter in Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Australian captain desperate to change result, series to start from November 22, says Cummins

Australian Test captain Pat Cummins believes that there will be a tie between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. There is a 50-50 match between the two teams. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy between Australia and India is starting from November 22. This time the Indian team has a chance to beat Australia at home for the third time in a row. Before this, Team India won the 2018 and 2021 series. Time to change the record Pat Cummins told Star Sports, 'The most recent Test match was definitely the World Test Championship in neutral conditions, and we came out on top in that match. It's always extremely competitive, and it always seems like it's 50-50. I am 10 out of 10 excited for the Border-Gavaskar trophy. Cummins added, 'We haven't had success in the last two series in Australia, so it's been a long time. Hopefully now is the time to make amends. You know, we've played them a few times where they've beaten us, but we've also had a lot of wins against them, so that will give us confidence.' Desperate to win the series, Cummins had previously said of the Test series against India, 'This is a trophy I have not won before. This is a trophy that not many players in our group have been able to win. We have achieved a lot as a test group in the last few years. You try to win every series at home.' Australia won the WTC, but could not win the series against India Pat Cummins-led Australia defeated India to capture the World Test Championship trophy in 2023. But the Kangaroo team has not beaten India in any Test series since 2014-15. In 2014, the team won the series 2-1 under Smith's captaincy. Since then there have been 4 series, all four of which have been won by India by a margin of 2-1. During this period, India's captains were Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma. Test series will start from November 22 India and Australia will start 5 test series from November 22 this year. The first Test will be held in Perth.
